False Beam Installations

We are known for our false beam ceiling work, especially in high-end homes across Sisters and Sunriver, OR. Our recent project in Sisters featured 140 linear feet of knotty alder beams, precision-milled and sanded in our Redmond woodshop. Each beam was:

Laminated and straightened to exact lengths
Fitted with custom dado slots for seamless assembly
Installed over a complex base layer of backer boards mounted to uneven ceilings
Scribed and shaped to fit perfectly with a 1/4" roundover for a polished finish

Installation required building elevated flooring with scaffolding to handle multi-day precision mounting. The result? A dramatic architectural ceiling that looks solid and permanent—yet remains lightweight and structurally adaptable.

We also recently completed a white oak wire-brushed ceiling beam project in Sisters, using hollow beams manufactured locally in Bend. While we often build our own beams in-house, we're flexible and experienced in working with pre-manufactured components as well.
