Handcrafted Wood Turnings & Custom Wooden Bowls
Wood turning has become one of my favorite parts of woodworking. From segmented bowls and decorative boxes to epoxy hybrid pieces and one-of-a-kind creations, everything is designed, built, and finished in my Redmond woodshop using quality hardwoods and more than 40 years of woodworking experience.

For most of my career I've been known for custom finish carpentry, staircases, mantels, cabinetry, and furniture. Wood turning gives me the opportunity to slow down, challenge myself, and build things that are completely different.
I enjoy creating pieces that showcase the natural beauty of the wood while exploring new designs, joinery techniques, and finishing methods. Some projects are simple and let the grain speak for itself. Others combine multiple wood species, segmented construction, or clear epoxy to create something you won't find anywhere else.
One of the things I enjoy most is that I'm always learning. Every project teaches me something new and gives me another opportunity to improve my skills.
How Each Piece Is Made
Every bowl, platter, box, and decorative piece begins in my shop from rough lumber or individual wood segments that are cut, fitted, and glued together before ever making it onto the lathe.
Depending on the design, a single piece may contain dozens—or even hundreds—of individual components that must fit together with precision. Other projects begin with beautiful pieces of walnut, maple, quarter-sawn white oak, or burl that deserve to be the centerpiece of the finished piece.
After turning, every project is carefully sanded, finished, and polished to highlight the character of the wood and create something that will be enjoyed for years to come.
Decorative & Functional Wooden Bowls
While many of my pieces become decorative centerpieces, I enjoy building items that people can actually use.
Whether it's a bowl on the kitchen counter, a platter for entertaining, a keepsake box, or a gift for someone special, my goal is to create pieces that become part of your home instead of sitting on a shelf.
Several of my bowls have also been created for charity auctions, raffles, holiday markets, and gifts for clients, friends, and family.
New Wood Turning Projects
Wood turning continues to be one of the areas of woodworking I'm most excited about. I'm always experimenting with new designs, wood combinations, segmented construction, and epoxy techniques, and I expect this collection to continue growing over the coming years.
As new pieces come out of the shop, I'll continue adding them here so visitors can see the latest projects and follow along with what I'm building.
