Custom Built-In Bed with Side Cabinets – Black Butte Ranch
This recently completed custom bed project in Black Butte Ranch highlights the flexibility and craftsmanship that goes into Frank Garrett’s custom woodworking builds. The client wanted a full-size bed design that would fit perfectly into the existing wall alcoves while providing functional storage on both sides.
The finished design features a custom-built platform bed with matching side cabinets installed inside each vestibule. One of the larger cabinets includes hinged access to a concealed 115-volt power receptacle, allowing for clean cable management and convenient power access without cluttering the space.
Every element of this project was built to fit the room precisely, creating a seamless, built-in appearance that looks intentional and permanent. Once painted, the bed and cabinetry will blend beautifully with the surrounding interior, offering both visual appeal and everyday functionality.
This project is another example of how custom woodworking can transform unused or awkward spaces into purposeful, high-end features within the home.
